One of my favorite animals to photograph. I learned a lot from a very interesting and knowledgeable woman about foxes. Her grandfather ran a fox farm back in the 1950s as fox coats were popular back then. The red /orange and white fox we all know was not native to north America but was brought here by Europeans for the purpose of fox hunting, a popular sport in Europe. Grey and silver foxes are native to north America. Over the years many of the different breeds of foxes have bred to create many different color combinations. Reason the red foxes were brought here was grey and silver foxes dug holes and hid under ground when were being chased and didn't make good hunting subjects."Note Fine Art America watermark will not appear on your purchase."
